Anda-what?
Andarta is the Celtic goddess of victory and sovereignty, and was often invoked by warriors and rulers to ensure success in battle and leadership, so we thought it a fitting name for our business. No, we don't ride horses or carry a sword, but we are passionate about bringing out the inner warrior in anyone who wants to go into business.
Business ownership is not for the faint of heart. Some people seem to be born entrepreneurs while others hear the call later their career. Some yearn for the complete autonomy of an independent business and others appreciate the structure and support of a strong franchise system.
Wherever you are in your entrepreneurial journey, we can relate. The members of our team have not only assisted hundreds of people launch their businesses, we've also owned several businesses ourselves. Some ventures have been very successful, others not so much. We learned from both our successes and failures and are driven to help other entrepreneurs avoid the pitfalls we experienced and reach their goals faster.

Earlier in my career, I was a career consultant with a large outplacement firm, and I supported people who had been laid off by their corporate employer to help them find their next job. Over the years, I worked with thousands of people through live seminars, webinars and one:one coaching, and even worked with some of the same people more than once as they went through multiple layoffs.
For many people, the loss of their jobs was devastating, and their stories drove me to specialize in coaching people how to start their own business as an alternative to – or addition to – relying on a corporation for their livelihood and career development.
As part of that process, I was introduced to franchising as a way for business owners to leverage the proven processes and experience of the franchisor to reduce their ramp up time and accelerate their business growth. I knew this could make a huge impact for first-time business owners in particular, so I transitioned into becoming a full-time franchise broker.
Thankfully, I found the Franchise Brokers Association and went through their extensive franchise brokering and sales compliance training program. I was honored to receive the Rookie of the Year award after my first full year, and then later on a few other awards including Broker of the Year and the coveted Visionary of the Year.
I’ve even owned two franchises myself – one was a Harley-Davidson rental franchise on the island of Cozumel, and the other was a facilities management company in Georgia. So I know first-hand what it takes to make the decision to become a franchise owner, the benefits it provides and also some of the pitfalls to avoid.
On the personal side, I’m originally from Canada but have lived for many years in the US, primarily in Arizona, and now in the North Georgia mountains. My husband and I have three adult boys and we’re lucky to be living within an hour’s drive of all of them. I’ve travelled extensively in Europe and North and South America and can speak passable Spanish, French, German and menu Italian.
